With a career as a journalist, travel writer and business writer, Amy Susan Brown’s true passion has always been fiction writing. Her stories and essays are featured in two anthologies, Point of Departure (The Stockholm Writers Group) and the short story anthology edited by Deana Luchia, Dating Games. She is currently seeking a publisher for her first middle-grade novel, Mormor’s Piano, working on a YA novel set in Malta and an adult novel that picks up the thread of her story in Dating Games: Finding Joy in Paris. Amy lived in Sweden for 18 years with her Swedish husband, photographer Bjorn Velander. With their two daughters, they escaped Swedish winters for four glorious years living in the Mediterranean on the island of Malta. Now she has found her paradise in Venice, Florida, where she is a member of the Florida Writers Association. Amy gets her best ideas from walking the beach or on a meditative kayak trip through the mangroves and Intracoastal Gulf waters behind her home. It would take an alligator to interrupt her reveries. Fortunately, that hasn’t happened…yet.
